Follow Jennifer Lawrence’s Hunger Games fitness regime to stay healthy and fit

With the ever-changing lifestyles and habits of the Gen-Y, staying fit looks like a time consuming idea. Most of us either opt for an unplanned diet, starve ourselves, do random gym routines and try everything possible to get that perfect bod. To add to our woes, we fantasize the envious body of actors and wish we had insights into their secrets.
And that’s exactly what we are going to reveal here. Ahead of the Indian Television Premiere of Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 on November 26 at 1 PM and 9 PM on Sony PIX, we bring to you the ever gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence’s fitness mantra for her role as Katniss Everdeen in the film. All that you need is 25 minutes, some serious dedication and Voila, welcome toned body!
Formula 1: Build the foundation with cardio
Cardio workout will not only build up your stamina and endurance but also improve your overall health. Simple things like running, skipping, cycling or joining a dance class will suffice. All you need is to get your blood pumping. Don’t forget to do a warm up before getting involved into high intensity cardio. The ideal time for cardio is 20 minutes.
Formula 2: The muscle game
Muscle strength will form the backbone of your overall body strength. As long as you keep following this mantra, the fear of calories affecting your body will bother you less. Squats, push-ups and sit-ups performed in a set of 10 each with high intensity for 20 minutes is a perfect combination.
Formula 3: Go Ancient
Yoga is the oldest form of exercise. It helps improve your flexibility and let’s your muscles relax and rejuvenate. Surya Namaskar, Tadasan and Planks will help your body recover. Do this once or twice a week.
Formula 4: Mix but don’t ditch
The thumb rule of staying fit is staying consistent. Powerful workout sessions will definitely help your body improve. To avoid boredom, have a line-up that is varied but effective. Cardio on day one and strength training on day two followed by a mix of both on day three is a great way to go about it. Don’t forget to relax your muscles by doing Yoga on one of the days.
Formula 5: Do it, and with a smile!
